BOOT CAMP FACILITATORS Sean Wise, BA LLB MBA Over the last 7 years, he has lectured at more than 90 Bootcamps, financing forums and industry conferences. He has trained dozens of CEOs who collectively raised more than $950M from a wide variety of investment sources. Sean brings 9 years of professional services and 15+ years of entrepreneurial services, having helped found 5 ventures of his own to date, the first at age 16. Academically, Sean studied Engineering and Economics at Carleton University before going on to earn his Law and MBA degrees from the University of Ottawa. Sean helped found Ernst & Young's Venture Capital Advisory Group in Canada and now undertakes selective engagements from young tech companies looking for strategic guidance on capital raising and growth through Wise Mentor Capital (WMC). Sean acts as an advisor to several seed funds including the BC Advantage Funds, who have officially named him a mentor to their portfolio. Sean also sits on the boards of several young technology companies, as well as on the board of the Toronto Venture Group. He is the Chair of the 2005 Canadian Venture Forum selection committee and a member of both the Canadian Venture Capital Association and the Law Society of Upper Canada. In 2006, the CBC (Canada's National Broadcaster) enlisted Sean as their Industry Advisor and Online Host for a new venture capital reality show called Dragons' Den. W. Daniel Mothersill As Ciris' Chairman and CEO, Daniel has provided business and financial communications solutions to companies as Cara Operations, DMR, and Sanwa Bank. His special areas of expertise include high-level communications strategy and tactics. He is founding member and President of the National Angel Organization, "coach in residence" for the Toronto Angel Group, and corporate sponsor of the Toronto Venture Group. He is a serial entrepreneur and serves on the advisory boards of a number of growth companies. Daniel studied at York University, The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, Humber College, and the Royal Conservatory of Music (Toronto). Dan has presented to more than 3000 CEOs at over 95 Bootcamps and in the last six years, more than $950 million has been raised by the emerging companies he has trained. |
